Gordmans at Burnsville Center Transforms to Multicultural Food Hall

As a staple location of the South Metro, Burnsville Center remains a vibrant entertainment destination that presents ample opportunities for owners seeking a collective community. Caspian Group acquired this listing in May of 2022. Since then, over 30,000 square feet of space has been filled. When thinking of how to revitalize this mall, Caspian thought long and hard about both what would benefit the community at large and what would benefit the mall.

Caspian concluded that an experience with an emphasis on local, entertainment focused tenants would best utilize the space. To achieve that, Caspian galvanized its vast network of grassroots connections to tap into the community at large, obtaining clients like Skateropolis, Sabrina’s Henna & Bridal, and more.

The team is also putting their energy into a larger scale project in the mall’s former Gordmans space. The goal is to redevelop the space into an Asian Food Hall and Supermarket. This redevelopment project is an expansion and replication of the Illinois based Pacifica Square, that offers an array of Asian restaurants, retailers, and other businesses. Windfall Group, the developers behind Pacifica Square, are overseeing the Pacifica of Burnsville Food Hall project in partnership with Caspian Group’s Vice President, Marshall Nguyen. The redevelopment is projected to begin early 2023 once approved by Burnsville’s City Council. There will be more to share on the line up of tenants in the coming months.
